Photos: First day in Chita
Nov. 1st, 2012 07:37 pmDear travel blog, I haven't forgotten that you're not yet complete! Life has interfered, but the last two photosets and, at the minimum, one text entry is yet to follow! Here, have a few photos from Chita:

On the way to Chita, typical late-summer landscape on the Siberian taiga.

By the Chita cathedral. Mountains in the distance!

The cathedral itself, from near...

...and further away. This was one more stunningly beautiful church.

Hotel Chita. A bit bleak on the outside...

...but lovely on the inside. I totally fell in love with this interior.

Our room, which we shared just between Johanna and I. We decided to get the beds at opposite ends of the room, because we'd been spending so much time close together that now we'd at least get to sleep five metres from each other.

The Chita main square. Named after Lenin, as always.

Johanna and Vladimir.
And that is where we left off our last text post! Stay tuned for more!
